Gary Neville claims Shkodran Mustafi used to lack composure at Valencia

Shkodran Mustafi has made a positive impression at Arsenal, since signing from Valencia during the summer transfer window.

Gary Neville has told Sky Sports, during their coverage of Arsenal’s match with Manchester United, that he felt Shkodran Mustafi lacked composure when he managed him at Valencia.

Mustafi was at Valencia during Neville’s short term in charge of the La Liga outfit.

And although the Manchester United legend admits that Mustafi is a big talent, he claims that the centre-back could be a little panicked in possession.

“When I had him at Valencia he lacked a little bit of composure, but he’s still only 24 and he’s a big talent,” Neville said.

Mustafi has made a positive impression at Arsenal since moving to the Emirates Stadium.

The German has formed a good parternship with Laurent Koscielny, which has helped Arsenal move towards the top of the Premier League table
