Jamie Carragher insists Mesut Ozil must do one thing to help Arsenal's title chances

Arsenal are bracing themselves for a testing month as they look forward to games against Tottenham and Manchester United.

The Gunners have a habit of trailing off in the title race, but this time it certainly looks like they've actually strengthened enough to go the distance.

Arsene Wenger will know full well that this could be his last chance to add to his tally of three Premier League winners' medals, so he needs his star players to perform for him more than ever.

Mesut Ozil hasn't let him down, either. The 28-year-old has already chipped in with seven goals and three assists in all competitions, and with the help of Alexis Sanchez, he's turned Arsenal's attack into a formidable one.

However, the playmaker will always have his critics. It's often been said that he doesn't score enough for a player the club paid £42million for, but he's obviously silenced those doubters in recent weeks.

Jamie Carragher still thinks he needs to improve, though, and has explained the one thing the Germany international needs to do now.

"Ozil has received praise for the amount of assists he has contributed since he has been in the Premier League but what really puts a player in the spotlight is goals," Carragher writes in the Daily Mail.

"If Arsenal are going to get to where Arsene Wenger wants them to be, Ozil will have to maintain his frequency."
